Mix No. 2: The Bee's Knees

In the heat of the summer, there’s nothing better than a cold, citrusy drink. I love this cocktail because it takes a minute to put together for yourself, and just a couple minutes longer if you decide to stir a pitcher up for guests. Cheers!

INGREDIENTS:

2 oz. gin

3/4 oz. honey

2 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice

Lemon slices

Ice (couple handfuls for shaking)

Pour gin, honey, & lemon juice into a shaker and shake. Once honey has dissolved, add a couple handfuls of ice and shake again until it’s crazy cold. Pour into cocktail glass and top with a lemon slice.

For a lighter option with some effervescence, pour drink into a large glass over ice and top off the rest of the glass with club soda. For a group, simply multiply the measurements and pour into a large pitcher. Lightly stir in the club soda with a wooden spoon so you don’t lose all the fizz!

And if you’re feeling really crazy, garnish with whatever herb you have on-hand! Fresh mint is a perfect addition.
