Mix No. 3: Frosé

At the beginning of summer, I saw a brilliant idea on Pure Wow for one-ingredient watermelon sorbet. It is such a delightful way to enjoy watermelon! When I got home from my first day of work in July, Dockie had the sorbet I had made thawing out on our island alongside a bottle of rosé as a treat. And a treat it was!

INGREDIENTS:

A watermelon

A bottle of rosé

To make the sorbet, simply freeze a cubed watermelon until it’s solid, blend it into a smooth puree, pack the puree into a pan and then freeze again.

To make it frosé, pour some rosé in it (I enjoy trying lightly colored Provençal bottles…this particular one was Rose de Printemps from Candler Park Market) & swish all together to make it frosé! Bonus points for enjoying it out of a metal straw for maximum cool factor!
